Get involved in our research

How can you get involved?

We want everyone to have the opportunity to take part in research.

Service users, families, carers and members of the public

NHS service users can participate in our research by talking directly to their healthcare professional at Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust or by getting involved in our patient and public involvement and engagement activity.

Find out how we are informing more Mersey Care service users about research opportunities that are relevant to them through the new Count Me In system.

Healthcare staff

Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust is a key partner of M-RIC as the support of healthcare staff is essential to carrying out our research and embedding changes to services. We are also working with healthcare staff from other NHS organisations across Cheshire and Merseyside. If you work in local NHS mental healthcare services and feel you could support our work, please contact us.

University researchers and academics

We are working with academic researchers, led by the University of Liverpool, from across the region to deliver innovative mental health research programmes with real world impact. We are a key demonstrator site in the NIHR Mental Health Translational Research Collaboration Mental Health Mission (NIHR MH-TRC MHM). We welcome interest and involvement from university researchers and academics. To find out more please contact us.

Community and charity partners

We are working with a range of community and charity organisations to support the implementation of our plans and to get the views and feedback of all our local communities. You can view a list of the partners we are currently working with here. If you work for a community or charity organisation and you are interested in getting involved in our work, please contact us.

Industry partners

Our work will bring service users, researchers, and industry together to co-create solutions. By working in partnership with industry, we can support the development of new digital technology and other innovations for better mental health and conduct trials in real life settings.. If you work for an organisation and you are interested in getting involved in our work, please contact us.
